Study the table of contents and the types of news, features and columns to get a feel for what you can contribute. Come up with ideas for future articles for Security magazine. Most articles have a “how-to-do-it” approach and offer readers tips for making specific improvements in the security enterprise.

Security magazine welcomes contributions from enterprise security executives, including:

  • Provide article ideas and leads.
  • Provide tips on breaking industry news.
  • Serve as an interview subject for Security magazine editorial staff.
  • Write editorial features. In these 900- to 3,000-word articles, enterprise security executives describe how they or their teams overcame problems or created opportunities for business growth from a personal point of view.

Please refer to our editorial calendar for a complete list of article topics. However, your article doesn’t necessarily need to tie into the content that is scheduled for a particular issue. Security magazine does not accept bylined articles or interviews from security vendors.

Timing:

Submissions may be sent to us at any time, year-round.

Article Format:

Articles should be written in a word document. We do not accept articles with footnotes. Please include appropriate sidebars and subheads when needed to break up sections of your article. Provide captions for all graphics.
